funky49 - da Jeffersons |
download
| 5:11min | 4.8meg
-Kinda like Aphex Twin yet making less sense. I love The Jefferson's theme song.
As long as we live, it's you and me baby! Now that's some happy stuff man. Here's what raw42 had to say about this choon:
"blending samples, beats and vocals, da jeffersons is a mishmash combo tune with extra frantic fast beats and plenty of strange vocals. because i'm old, i remember the tv show, the jeffersons. i watched it religiously as a kid and sure enough, that incredibly familiar theme tune is present in this track, hence the title eh? funky49 has taken the theme sample, played with it in all sorts of ways and fit it into this frantic number in weird little ways, pretty effectively too. but the number is all over the place structurally and a bit of cohesiveness to bring all of these elements together would fix this song up a great deal... at least give it some flow."
(1999)
funky49 - Virgin Jungle Peas (Vijupe) |
download
| 5:04min | 4.1meg
-This is one of my first tunes yet I think it's one of my best.
Includes some Jewel guitar and Sublime bassline. Don't forget some Planet Rock and sped up funky drummer. This is what raw42 has to say about vijupe "i do like virgin jungle peas for the cool beat and the nice little melody (almost positively sampled like the zep drum loop) because they go well together for different styles. light, airy melody and jungle beat. an odd combo but it works. the subtle bass goes well too and adds a funky flavour."
(1999)

Mike Faulkner & Steve Rush - Porn Groove 22 |
download
| 6:22min | 6meg
-Studio colabo with Mike F on guitars. Composed/Arranged by funky49.
Mike's guitars came out like some cheesey porn music (minus the wah-wah). Don't play this one too loud or for your grandma. (2000)
funky49 - ibanez | download
| 4:27min | 4.2meg
-The way I remember it, instead of my friend Mike pawning his guitar to pay some bills, I loaned him some money and I got to hold
onto his Ibanez guitar. Since I can't play the guitar with a damn, I sampled myself playing with the strings and composed this ambient piece with those samples. Striking I must say.

funky49 - 22Jan05 "Nasty" beat juggling - download

Proud Time
On 30 April 2004, Jonathan Campbell asked me and my web host to remove my Beastie Boys & NWA remixes from my web site. Apparently I was exploiting sound recordings that were owned or controlled by EMI Music North America. I'd like to point out that a bunch of lawyers once downloaded my songs and listened to them in a fancy law office. Thanks for letting me brag. For more information, please check this out.
